Florida Highway Patrol advises that motorists use Interstate 95 to return back to Orlando and destinations south as an alternate to Interstate 4. Motorists can travel southbound on I-95 to State Road 50 or State Road 528 to their final destination. After the race, traffic is expected to be very heavy on westbound I-4 from I-95. Hotels and related businesses in the northern half of Brevard County are getting a much-needed boost in customers this weekend from the Daytona 500. The 50th running of the famous Daytona Beach auto race will be Sunday, but area hotels started seeing race fans come in days ago, local tourism officials said.
